This has to be a record for mb talk at oilburners. ;Sweet There are several on here who have mb diesels and can provide info. Brandon's advise will definitely make your car go faster than anyone else's.
Brandon did you and your girlfriend ever get that pontoon you were working on put together? I was watching that build at Schuman's forum until it went south.
I'd love to see pictures of it if its done.

I've bought, sold and owned at least 75 MBZ diesels.

Do yourself a favor.. find a Turbo engine.

I have a euro spec 300d that makes 88hp, 9 more then your car. With a 4spd manual behind it the car is a blast in town. Highway is not so good. Car does not have enough power to cruise at low RPMs so you end up revving the **** out of the thing and once you hit a hill all the power is gone (my euro has a giant flywheel that keeps the momentum)

300d non Turbo 3.46 diff
300d Turbo 3.07 diff
1985 300d Turbo 2.88 diff
240d non Turbo 3.69
W115 220d/240d 3.92/3.69

All top gears are 1:1

Mbz did not introduce a overdrive trans till 97

Or drop a 240 engine in..they are slower but they are smoother and love to rev. I can drive my 240d at 70mph with no issues. But I'm a Miser and drive 55-65 drafting 18wheelers
