HARD KNOCK AFTER LIFT PUMP REPLACEMENT

another thought if the cam lobe is very worn and if the lift pump isnt able to push enough fuel up could it create a knock? Im thinking that the shavings in the oil filter were from the cam lobe. the lift pump looked pretty new so it was probably replaced not to long before I bought her. The wear on it the pump was not that bad and it seemed to function fine when I pulled it off. so maybe the cam lobe is more of the problem and not the pump.

There are no vacuums lines on a diesel, minus the vacuum pump itself.

The VRV for a C6 automatic requires vacuum, and this mounts to the IP throttle shaft on the driver's side of the IP.

OK sweet i was still a little unclear on why there was air headed to the IP
