The Anti-Anderson
Changed the glowplugs saturday. When I pulled the #1 plug, it had coolant on it.
If I remember correctly, same thing was found when I did those plugs a few years ago. Never had any symptoms of hydro-lock. No coolant smell in the exhaust. Nothing. Where would the coolant come from?
Mel, on those head cut-out's, are there any coolant passages near the glowplug/precup??
The other thing.........I cranked the DPS IP fuel screw to max and just backed it off the bottom a hair. Boost builds quicker, but EGT's are not much worse. I think I made 800 on the pyro pulling a hill saturday evening. I NEED MORE FUEL.
Also, a word of warning to all guys running water filters. Make sure you lube the rubber seal with grease or anti-seize when you install them. I just used a light bit of oil last time and it was a fight to the death to get it off the filter head. Had to remove the head and put it in a vise.......then use the monster channel locks to get if off. None of the filter wrenches would do the job.
