Pretty common on the 6.9 rockers. I used new 7.3 rockers on my 6.9 during the rebuild.

All,

Thought I would give you all an update and ask one final question. New rockers, lifters, push rods, and fuel return T's are in and the truck runs and sounds great. One thing I noticed is that the oil seems to look a little diluted on the dip stick. It looks almost watered down and i confirmed I had a pretty low coolant level. Oil does not look milky at all and i drained a little off the bottom of the oil pan and found no water. I guess I have two questions.

1. Is it possible for radiator fluid to leak into the oil pan but oil not leak into the radiator? I am suspicious i might have some water in my oil but there does not seem to be any oil in my radiator.
2. If there is water in the oil pan will it always separate or is it possible to stay suspended in the oil causing draining some off the bottom of the oil pan to show an inconclusive result?

Thanks so much.

They won't always mix in both directions.
Yes, it will pretty much always separate.
