gpc plastic cover

i have got a new gpc and gp's for my 93 7.3 and i was wondering if the plastic cover that is suppose to be on the gpc is important i recently purchased the truck and this is one of the many little things possibly needing replaced if it should be replaced does anyone know where i can pick one up my local ford dealership says they cant get it.

I'm thinking they aren't available anymore. You might try a junkyard, I've seen smaller covers that go onto the two terminals on starter solenoids. In a pinch a couple of wire nuts might work.

It's important in that if you drop a wrench on top of the terminals you have the potential for quite a few amps.
