I am getting air in my system from the rear fuel tank line . I ran low pressure compressed air back from the fuel pump intake line. I heard bubbling in the tank but heard some high pitched leaks at the top of the tank which varied when moved the fuel line around. I want to replace the fuel hose with rubber hose and std clamp . Can I access this without resorting to removing the bed ? Also how do I check the fuel pickup with the tank in ?
I know that this is going little too far but I have to ask - Has anyone just drilled a hole is near the botton of the tank and installed a theaded hose barb glued and sealed in with JB weld ? If it really held , this would save the effort of R&R ing the tank and eliminate dealing with the fuel pickup problems I have read about . Another variation would be drilling near the top and installing a piece of metal tubing with JB weld as the adhesive / sealant
Thanks
