GE Halogen sealed beams

The original sealed beams in my slantnose finally bit the dust over the past 2 years. Since then, I have replaced the units with stock General Electric Halogens. I believe the part number is 6054. And I have already had to replace both sides again and the drivers side low beam just went for the second time. So thats 3 units over the past 2 years I have a headlight relay mod so the bulbs are running nice and hot, which I hear is better for them...IDK.

Are there any other brands on the market? What kind of results are you fellas seeing with the GE replacements?

I ran Sylvania sealed-beam bulbs and had reasonable luck with them. In 2004, I switched to Hella E-code sealed-beam style housings that use H4 bulbs, and haven't looked back once

Oh good to see an aftermarket upgrade out there. Do they perform better also?

I'm interested in hearing how they perform as well, my low beams absolutely suck on both my 86 f250's and my 86,87&94 f150's so I got a few vehicles that could use an upgrade!

I'd go HID, personally. There are kits out there to do this WITH the approproate projector-style housings you need. Here's one I found after a quick Google search:

I'm sure there are loads of options out there. That's the advantage of having a sealed-beam headlight that's so universal. Just wish they made something like this for the bricknose guys.

I've seen some nice one's out there.

For sealed headlights, I've used the xtravisions. Worked pretty good.

I'm interested in upgrades for my 89 with the yellow head lite lense issues. Have tried cleaning them several times and used different cleaners and buffers. Still yellow tinge to them. Almost looks like the stuff is on the insides. Have not tried to remove them cause its not an easy job for me. Have no idea where to even start.
