Welcome to OB. Glad to have another Aussie on board. How long have you've been in the US?

Be sure to use only Motorcraft or Beru glow plugs. Autolight, Chanmpion, and others seem to be less reliable and tend to swell and get stuck as you've found.

Thanks Mate, well one thing I found out is don't rely on your local auto parts dealer to research things for you , they sold me autolite plugs and said these are what you need, and then got peed when I took them back and told them what I found out, sensative bloke he was, crikey mate anybody would have thought I put a Black Snake in the box. they are nasty but only found in Australia.

again Thanks for the info trucks running like a train!!

Welcome to the forum. What you found at the parts counter is probaly some young kid that thinks hes all that and a bag of chips. About the easiest way to remove the stuck glow plugs is use some Aerokroil to loosen the carbon or swelling. Its difficult to find so whats next best is PB Blaster and its found nearly everwhere. Heres hopeing nothing breaks off and drops into the precup. Even if it does its not the end of the world but it is serious.
