Pretty much the issue is stated in the title. Switched to the rear tank that I knew had a full tank but the guage read empty. Figured it was just the guage acting up but then the truck stalled on me. Switched back and it cranked up after a minute. Switched back and it died after a minute. Just need a little help to point me in the right direction.

Hey man, are you sure your neighbor didn’t stop by with a siphon hose?

Your selector valve isn’t selecting the tank with fuel in it
Thats it. Your selector valve isn't working. It may just have crap in it. The cheapest and easiest solution is to have someone else turn the switch between tanks while you tap the valve gently with a hammer. I have had that work.
You could also replace the valve. That always works. Someone else has posted some cheap ones on ebay lately.
