Now I pull the bed. Replace both pick ups and senders. Replace all wires I can get to, Under coat the frame and the bottom of the bed.

In the process of doing this right now. The second sender just came today. Just in time for the long weekend.

My preference has always been to drop tanks, rather than pull the bed. It’s definitely faster in my experience, but most beds I’m working with are heavy and awkward. Then again, if it’s a box bed, or you plan on pulling whatever bed that’s on it anyways, then by all means.

My service truck… no. Just no. I am not pulling the bed. LOL There are 32 3/4” bolts and 8 1” bolts holding the bed to the frame. Damn Knapheide and their pickiness. They wouldn’t and still won’t just sell you a bed. They mount it themselves at one of their install/repair locations. No exceptions.

It’s a crane spec bed, so it’s not surprising that it’s mounted in such a manner.
