hey all,

is there a way to get a gas c6 auto to fit a first gen cummins out of a 1990 cummins truck? What about the diesel c6?

Will a 727 bolt up to a married ford np205?

this all is coming out of a 1990 cummins dodge 4x4.

i want to put it in a 78 f250 with the c6 auto married np 205 and dana 60s front and back.

What happend to the divorced 205 idea? Your easiest and cheapest route is to put the cummins and 727 in the truck and bolt the np205 on back. Depending on what the splines are on the trans. output shaft and the tcase input shaft, will dictate wether it'll work.
As much as would rather see a C6 behind a cummins instead of a torqueflight, the 727 still aint a bad trans. Since it's out of a 90 dodge, it most likely doesnt have a lock-up convertor which translates to less tranny problems.

this is for a different truck, my 76 still will have a divorced setup. Are the dodge transfer drivers side drops? If the transfer on the dodge is a 205 will it bolt up using the same locations as the ford mounts?

I believe that year dodge should be a drivers side t-case, my 97 cummins was. Anytime you stick a foreign driveline into another vehical, you got to plan on lots of fabrication work. Thats part of the fun in doing a swaplike that. My 86 has a 205 in it, and originally came with the borg warner case. I didn't put it in there, but whoever did made their own crossmember support for the trans and transfercase.
