Full-flow makes a big difference..

I have been waiting for the local NAPA to get a 2.5 X 2.5 full-flow muffler for me, for over a month. I wanted to replace the 2.25 bottleneck that was on this thing when I bought it.

With only today to get it done, I got a 3 X 3 for it. I went to my exhaust guy and he made a 2.5 X 3 adapter and a 3" tailpiece for me.

Got it all hung and started it up.. BIG difference in the sound quality!

Took it for a drive and noticed a lot more pep and that I was hitting the governor in 1st and 2nd really quickly..

It's amazing, what removing one bottleneck will do! When I get my Moose pump Jr at the rally, I'll get to see what she'll do!

Which muffler you got man, also how much it ran for? I'm thinking of adding one to my truck, tho to be honest hitting the 8% downhill idling at 2400 rpms with the converter locked sure makes for a very sweet jake-brake sound

The one I got was supposedly designed by the same guy, that designed
Flowmaster mufflers. It cost me about $39. My exhaust guy says it looks "A whole lot" like the Flowmaster inside.

I could probably swing bringing one to the rally, if anyone wants a look-see.

2.5 thats tiny.

I went a little bigger with a Walker 21470 muffler some 3.5" pipe and recycled parts from the darkside. The old pig sounds good now. Total cost about $65 bucks.
