Hey guys...

Just wondering what you waste oil guys do for long distance runs (1500 mile+)?

I've been tossing around the idea of a fuel trailer... or a LARGE tank on the truck (100+ gallon).

Ideas?

There has been a lot of in bed fuel tanks in Craigslist around here for like 100-200$ range some were even tool boxes also and fuel tank, ranging from 100-150gallon size

I've currently got one... but I'm building an expedition camper that will mount to the flatbed and will have to remove that tank. I'd need something that I could mount under the bed.

That's why I'm leaning more towards trailer...

Thought about it... also thought about using an under deck marine tank (which they make 100+ gallon).. but that's a lot of weight and with the weight of the camper (probably north of 2500lbs)... Not sure if it would be a good idea or not.

30 gallon plastic drums, people are always giving them away for free around here, one gets emptied, it goes in a dumpster.....

whatever you choose to do, make absolutely sure you have means to mitigate spills and ruptures. DOT will crucify you if something goes sideways.

And that is precisely what I'm concerned with. Would be hard to explain why there is 200 gallons of oil in the road after an accident.

This is what I did for this weekends trip. That's almost 140 gallons plus the two truck tanks are full

I've been considering installing a passenger side fuel tank like out of an old chebby truck just for wmo.
Gawd those were a PITA to fill, fill one side, pull away from pump, hope nobody snags the pump before you get the truck spun around...........
One more reason I refuse to drive one. LOL
