My front tank is empty but the tank will not take any fuel at all! What In the hell is going on.

I bet the selector valve is stuck. Have someone flip the switch while you're under there. Should hear a noise.

Is this based on the gauge, or the fact that you've driven some distance on the front tank and have run it down?

A mixture of both. I knew the front tank was full and I was driving it everyday so I noticed the fuel hand going down

Ummm, if the tank is empty and it won't take any (i.e. at the gas station) that has nothing to do with the selector valve. Did someone cram a squirrel in your fill pipe? Either that or the tank is full already but you should be able to see fuel in the fill pipe. Have you knocked on the tank to see if it is hollow (empty)? Maybe just your sender is not working?

If the tank is actually empty... definitely a vent issue. Vent pipe clogged up with dirt, cobwebs, etc...
