So I've been noticing on my 1990 f250 that the fuel tank selector has been acting up. Over the course of a couple months. When it was cold it would not go from front tank to the back when you pressed the switch in the cab or atleast the gauge wouldn't move. But today it switched but would not go back to the front tank any advice. I've checked fuses.

Make sure the switch is actually sending power to the valve in both positions.
If it is... replace the valve!

The original Ford one is $$ but if you're willing to do a little plumbing and wiring, the $55 Standard Motor Products replacement is the way to go. It uses hose barbs instead of mating with the stock quick-disconnect lines, and requires a new pigtail connector.
