Fuel pump Removal

Can anyone tell me an easy way to remove the rear bolt in the mechanical fuel pump.

Pull the vacuum pump off and you will have plenty of room.

Yes, remove the vaccum pump, the rear bolt of the lift pump can be done by "feel" no problem. Just make sure you put the pump (arm) in correctly

Damn near impossible to see, but easy to get. I used a deep well socket without an extension.

I too used a deep socket without an extension. Can't see it but can get a finger on it to get the socket on there and started.

Back in was easy for me since I put a block off plate in there with an electric fuel pump, makes for easy access.

Got it finished up today I removed the vacum pump pulled the fuel pump, installed the block off plate and finished up in just a few minutes. I thought pulling the vacum pump was a bigger deal than it actually was.
