Brothers,

Still can't get the truck to keep running. She'll start, run a few seconds and stall. I see fuel leaking in the area of the fuel pump and vacuum pump. Can't figure out excatly where it is. Is there a weep hole in the pump?

Thanks

you've found your problem. Time to change out the feul pump. Consider yourself lucky if the pump didn't fill up your crankcase with diesel feul.

Fuel Pump Change

Brothers,
Is it as simple as removing the fuel pump with rubber hose and changing it, a gasket and new rubber hose? Do I have to be concerned with crankcase oil coming out?
Thanks

It's almost that easy. Remove the fuel line (rubber hose), unhood the supply line to the fuel filter, undo the 2 bolts and remove. Clean off the gasket are and install. If you have problems getting the bolts started, turn engine over by hand 1/2 revolution to move the fuel pump lobe and then install. Just like changing fuel pimp on an old gasser engine.

No crankcase oil will come out, but you might want to check to see if the oil is contaminated with diesel fuel. The best best would be to do an oil change.
