hey everyone got my truck a few weeks ago and have been trying to figure out where all my leaks are coming from. Ive isolated two spots one from the passenger valve cover and one very minor from the oil pan. Ive been driving the truck a little more often and i notice when its to full operating temp and i shut off the truck it pours out what i believe is diesel fuel for a couple minutes. By pours out i mean a few drops consistently for 2-4 minutes. its coming from the passenger side under the exhaust manifold from some circular apparatus with a few lines coming from it. the liquid is real clear with very slight gas/oil smell with a blueish tint. i dripped some diesel from the pump at the gas station seemed like it smelled a little stronger than what was leaking from the truck but i dont have too good of a sense of smell. I figure that by now if its anything but diesel than the truck would be dead on the side of the road. ive checked the oil multiple times along with powersteering and coolant fluids and it clearly isnt that. i have a 4 speed manual but its defenintly not trans fluid and most likely not clutch fluid? any help would be appreciated.

You probably have a return line leaking fuel from the top of an injector. Any fluid that drips down below the intake manifold to the valley pan (sometimes calle the turkey pan) it will drain out the back thru the valley pan drain hole. It runs over the rear bellhousing and drips down off the starter. Its a real bad design but it works. Just kinda messy. Look around on top of the motor for any wet injectors. Then ask for help by posting what you find. Welcome to the forum too...:sly

Your lift pump? That's the only circular apparatus with hoses attached on the pass side of the block under/in front of the manifold.

alright i just drove the beast around for about a half hour i see some fuel on/around the second from the front passenger injector. the majority looks like its coming from the front near the oil fill and also from what rjjp says is the lift pump? i bought the hayes diesel manual im going to read through it. If anyone has any advice on what needs/should be done it would be greatly appreciated since i have no diesel experience to lean on. other than the fuel leak she seems to be running real smooth
