Fuel bleeder

My company service truck is a 2001 f250 2wd crapmatic, well the other day the boss and I are in Redding he ran the truck out of fuel thank God he had AAA they towed us to a truck stop for fuel I had to sit there and crank on the starter let cool crank for awhile till it started running.
My question is do these engines have a bleeder port someplace so when this happens again Ill know what to do.
My 85 with a 6.9 is real easy to bleed but this truck I couldnt find anything and I thought I was going to let the smoke out of the starter.
any comments or concerns are welcome.

It should have an E-Pump..... on my 6.0 when I do a filter change (It drains the fuel from the frame rail to the engine.... cycle the key 3 times and it starts right up..... that lets the pump clear all the air out....

The e-pump only runs for 20 seconds with each key cycle, then will run continuous after start when engine oil pressure comes up.

can you cheat it and make it think it has oil pressure and stay running? I know there is a shradder valve on the side of my fuel filter that I use to check for fuel....
