on the fuel filter there is a shrater valve like on a car tire use a nail to push the pin in and have someone crank the motor over this will bleed the air out of the system allowing the fuel to be pressurized also hold as pedal to the floor

The only way fuel can travel thru an injection pump towards the injector is by the pump itself cranking. These pumps are kinda like a carb on a gasser inthat they send fuel to the engine but.... They must be turning to pump the fuel. They can ceate around 5000 lbs of fuel pressure so be careful around the high pressure line fittings. Never try to tighten a loose line nut with your fingers when the engine is running. Injected fuel into your fingers or hands will cause the loss of the fingers in worst cases. There was some pics of a hand that had this happen to it and it was not fun to look at. I still kinda hurt remembering those pics....:puke::puke: What really needs to be done is crank the engine holding the throttle wide open so more fuel is pushed thru the lines. Stop cranking after around 15 to 20 seconds and crack open the lines at the injector nuts. Listen for the sound of escapping air under pressure. Look for fuel and bubbles. Then repeat this again. You will get all the air out and the engine will stumble to life. Some like to leave all the easy to reach injector line nuts loose and just crank till fuel squirts out. That works but its messy and you may get air pulled back in because the lines are loose. This is the two ways to purge the air from the injection lines....
