Freeway Driving

On the Interstate I'm usually 60-70 with the truck in my sig. I usually prefer to make fuel economy than time, unless I'm in a big hurry. I really can't afford speeding tickets,a nd I never get warnings, only huge tickets for very minor offenses. I must look guilty of something. I have had my truck as high as 82-85 for a very brief period of time. It handles it fine but it would never happen except as a rare test/tune thing or in a true emergency.

I will usually go as fast as I feel it's safe to go. If that means 50, I'll do that, if it means 120, then that's what I'll be doing too. I've taken the f250 up to around 90 for about 20 minutes and then the engine light came on. I am getting somewhere around 10 mpg in the F250 regardless of how I drive it (Usually leaving a ********* cloud behind me). In my dodge I have driven 120 for about an hour driving from Nor Cal to So Cal. Coincidentally I got the best mpg ever on that trip of 22.

65 to 70 seems to get the best mileage out of mine. Nice and smooth too. I had a mean rattle going on at 75+... turned out to be the heat sheild resting against the turbo. Problem solved.

yea that was a one time thing we both agreed. it was just a high speed straight path with no hills at 1am. not something i would do any other time.

i had my cruise set to 70-72 on the way to the rally. not sure on mileage as i always forget to check my miles at fillups. but i run so many tanks through so fast that i would have this huge notebook to write it all down in.

i have buried the speedo on my old truck, fastest i been in my new one was about 75
