Found Another Truck

It's a brick nose Crew Cab Dually with a ZF5.
Said it runs but need glowplugs and a pilot bearing he's asking $800 but I'm sure he would come down on the price some.
Now my question is what price is the ZF5 getting?

Around here the ZF5 tranny is going for $500 and up. More in good shape and a good 4x4 version can go for the asking price of the truck. Reman are in the $1K range. But I'd guess they are a little cheaper in your area. More trucks left around not rusted to bits

Last ZF5 I saw on craiglist for $250.
It's a 2wd has good tires and it's clean. Said it needs a pilot bearing and that's as far as I got in the convosation
