Hmph....stipid truck tailgated me all the way home....it is alledged a seized engine...but has ZF and a 4x fully optioned....same as 88 I just got that pulled the trailer just different paint

Threw all I could at it 15/16" socket n 3foot jb qnd all I could do no budge...so engine is seized...

Drop in bed liner
two untorn front seats...very nice shape
front and rear drive shafts
new exhaust Y pipe back!
Rad
trans
tcase
maybe starter
clutch/flywheel??
IP
Injectors
vacuum pump
AC parts
Alternator
Pedal assembly
instrument cluster and surrounding plqstic

That bout sums it up...oh...front hubs and lockuts lol

Rest...scrapped

Engine teardown is easy, building it back up right is the hard part!!

Snag any old pushrod v8 to tear into, they're all mechanically similar from the intake manifold to the pan.

I've torn down a 1600cc Vw engine.
Pretty simple let's hope the IDI Is too

ill do one for ya when i do my heads.
but the best way to learn, is by doing it.
i can tell you all day long,
but it really dont mean jack shat until you gain the experience.

failure is your biggest teacher...

should i show you how ive F'd up in the past 25 years? lol
some pretty gnarly, some pretty stupid.
altho im relatively new to diesels,
diesels are alot easier than gas engines.

IMO simpler than a VW engine, we are just water cooled.
the germans did some funky stuff like design their charging system like it was a ******* wunderwaffe.

you gotta take loads of **** and have a short mustache to understand those damned things.

as you described to me, the new truck is pretty damn decent.
mix and match! send me those used headgaskets, there likely better than mine! LOL
