I don't know the wire colors, but I believe that our engines all gave the same connectors on those senders. The one for the temp gauge has a straight connector while the over temp light uses one that's 90*. Out of your wiring harness, the wire for the temp gauge should be a little bit shorter than the one for the over temp light. Look at the bottom, right side of your picture. Where it says "coolant temperature sender"', that's for the gauge.I'm not finding either name in the Engine Controls section.
Yes it does. I wonder if it's not shown here because the light isn't part of the gauge cluster? It's a light off to the side in 1986.1986 diagram doesn't show it either and I know an 86 had it.
