F450 Hydroboost with lines

I am selling one of my spare hydroboost units with the lines and the proper brake pedal. It was out of a 90 fsuperduty. I dont have the reservoir as some one had tee'd the lines together at some point. They are only around 20 bucks at ford.

They bolt right in, just need the proper brake pedal, the special reservoir for the powersteering and the lines to hook it up. Pretty simple actually. Ive got a few gm units as well. If you do a search there are a few that have put them in their fords by shimming them with washers to set the correct pedal height.

so do you need to upgrade the soft hoses upfront for the brake calipers?

what about wheel cylinders on the rear brakes?

also what if my master cylinder/booster is shot and i need a new one. do i replace those parts as well as adding these?

i need to read up, our brakes suck is that normal for these trucks?

I'm pretty sure the master cylinder and the booster gets replaced by the hydroboost setup anyway, which is why you need the special brake pedal. No more vacuum, hello hydraulic!

Its a very simple, bolt in conversion as it was all available from the factory on the F450s. There's some controversy over which master cylinder to use (do a search) but I can tell you that there's not really enough vacuum to operate brakes on these trucks, especially considering the loads..... and if you run larger than stock tires.....you see the point.

I bought all the factory parts brand new reman a while ago, was waiting on time and a pushrod drawing (you can't buy the pushrod, gotta find/make one, thanks BikeMaker for posting the pics), I got the pushrod drawing but still looking for the extra time

I was thinking about putting stainless lines on the front calipers just to see the effect with the stock vacuum brakes, Russ did it and said it was night and day, but not stopping power like hydroboosted brakes, which by the way I installed on my Grand National and they kick butt

I wouldn't ever go back ti vacuum brakes. I can lock my 38s up right when I hit the pedal. Just resting your for on the pedal you stop pretty quickly.

I am waiting to hear back from the first poster who said he wanted it. I'll let you all know what happens with it.

Oh damn so instead of paying $100 anyway I could just put that money towards a used setup and pay a bit more and have brakes?

Sounds like this is a must do mod.

What about the power steering pump? I have a stock one and sadly its leaking as well. I got a different box and new lines and had switched this damn thing out just because it was "newer" when I was doing the box. I shouldn't have touched it haha!

to help motivate you to begin searching about the hydro.i like stating this fact;
adding hydro brakes provides more stopping power over vacuum,than a turbo kit for the n/a idi adds hp to the engine.
