today has almost been a victory!
nw dash trim, new heater core, new heater vacuum lines, i should be good to go after trip to the parts store!
found a coolant leak today, on the outlet side of the block. im going to put a new water pump in, seal the outlet tube, the inlet has already been done with a new t-stat.

thinking i should pull the ballancer and reseal the plate behind the water pump also.
what do you call that gasket?

also...

does it matter which port on the water pump you put the heatercore input?

i have one in the middle and one on the passenger side.

Heater flow is out of the passenger side head and back into the passenger side port on the water pump.

I found a gasket on mine and one came in the rebuild kit. Just a paper one though. Much like with the oil pan, rtv should be just fine
