If I understand correctly , I want to remove my mechanical lift pump and block off and then relocate my fuel filter BELOW the fuel tank outlet and then plump in electric fuel pump and PUSH fuel all the way to the IP. Correct yes?

Nope.. Not going to remove the fuel filter. Leave it where it is on the engine. Installing the electric lift pump that genlightning sells has a filter built into it. Most install them near the fuel tank switching valve but they can be installed anywhere. Look at the refer units on any semi truck trailer. Its way up to at the front and sucks diesel from way back under the trailer. Those pumps suck very well. Most electric pumps will push fuel better than they suck fuel.. But these Carrier pumps do both very well.

Thanks! Somewhere on this site I am certain I read that it was a desirable upgrade to relocate factory fuel filter setup to eliminate issues with air introduction and that in general, always better to push fuel -
