ebv actuator leaking oil

so my ebv was leaking oil really bad, so took it off now trying to figure what to do i wanna delete it all but ive read where you can just weld the hole where the rod goes, anyone done this? im on a tight tight budget i just dont want to waste 170 on a delete pedistal thanks

I'll have to see if I can find the pics, but I read somewhere about someone tapping the hole and threading a pipe plug into it. The actuator rod was removed and oil was still in the pedestal. It just couldn't go anywhere.

cut the rod off, tap the hole, install pipe plug.google gutting ebpv
