Anyways I have a 2wd and 4wd E4OD here in Somerset Wisconsin and i also have 2 computers and wiring harness for the e4od as well as a aeronose e4 steering column. The 2wd one was swapped from 4wd the internals were gone through and a new converter was installed I don't believe its been run since the 4x4 one had a front seal leak and a overdrive flash but didn't seem to slip or miss any gears. Everything is from 94 trucks. Want it all gone I'll never use any of it

Thanks for all the info guys. funny thing is I did have a ZF5 in the truck I tore down as well as a kingpin dana 60. but as we pulled the motor the bell housing on the trans came with it! Such a shame it had a crack from the driver side all the way too the pass.

So I sold the good "swap" parts and bagged the idea. I did get the motor out of it though Which I rebuilt the heads on so that's good. Also sold the wooped dana 60 for $1300.

I will probably just wait on an E4OD for now. I try to keep the truck on the road as much as possible as its a big part of my business.
(sorry for the small text I don't know what's happening)

I did an e4od swap on my '86 f350 a while back and I can tell you it's not as bad as a lot of people will make it sound. I found a complete donor truck in a junkyard (90 f350 cab& chassis), pulled the trans and every part that was different as well as all the wiring and trans control computer. The hardest part about the whole thing was trimming down the harness from the '90 to only have what I needed to work the transmission and making the holes in the frame for the trans cross member braces to bolt down. My work doesn't exactly look factory but it is professional with all factory parts and everything plugs in with original connectors. I could remove the e4od and put the c6 back in and the only visible difference would be the extra holes in the top of the frame rail. Had I found a good zf5 for a decent price I probably would have gone that route but I don't regret the e4od or the experience I gained from the work I did. Honestly I am pretty proud of the fact that it's been together and working for about 2.5 years now with not a single issue.
