Hey guys i got a 1996 7.3 with the e4od and im planning on getting 400+ hp out of it. Now i know that the perfect tranny would be a BTS but i just dont have that kind of money. I was wondering if any of you had the suncoast extreme rebuild kit in your trucks, and if so are they pretty good. Also what kind of power do yall think one of these kits will hold. Sun Coast is ok. They use Alto clutches in their kits. So the most important thing to do is use their specs. Not Ford. Alto require tighter clearances. Using Ford specs, your tranny will be short lived.

Building the E4OD to 400 hp is pretty easy. So your kit should cover everything yoiu need. If you have not been inside a transmission do your self a favor. Get the ATSG manuals. Both copies. One is basic the other is updates. Read them. Then its time for some fun.
