yes all but the 2009s have trans mounted parking brakes. the 09s have a unit called telma, which is like a trailor brake. works wonderfully.

telma brakes are a add-on by the bus bodybuilder. if you saw the cost of one of those units you woul understand why ford would not get near them. they are a godsend on interurban stop-n-go vehicles.

i seen the cost, they are pricey! but they are amazing. most of our 09s have 15,000 miles on them and the brake pads are barely worn. normally a set of pads would be about 50% left.

telma brakes

actually they are more like a overgrown a/c clutch with a electronic controler assy simular to electronic brakes for our trailer brakes . it mounts to rear axle on buses is about 22" around and about 18' thick and has a relay box about 5'x3' and 8" thick as you apply the brake it throughs relays and apply's more current to clutch assy to stop vehicle the harder you push the higher the current  it is not light and when a deffective unit had to be replaced it took three guys one on cherry picker and two to guide it into place stabbing a small block is much easier and dont break as many fingers
