depending on how much i can get my truck for, i may be in a better financial position on a different truck. perhaps one might call it a powerstroke. but before the bad names come just listen....

for an xl shes got a/c, cruise. single cab, long bed. 6spd, and 4 wheel disk. oh yeah and a white paint job that absolutly puts mine to shame. the guy only wants $4,799 for her. shes got 164,000. im stoked but what do you guys think?

truck for sale is the avitair. what do you think shes worth?

Yes if its 4x4......and for my own personal preference no for a 2x4. Sounds like a good truck though.

keep in mind that a reg cab will drop in value quicker compared to a ext cab or a CC. besides, if you're walking away from your CC due to minor issues, wait 'til the PSD bites you in the ass.

she is a 99, 4x2

im not getting rid of my truck due to problems at all. the only reason im looking for something different was because its a stick, and i wanted a 6spd instead of a 5spd. i like the 99 for what it can pull compared to my truck, and if it can pull, i can make money. thats why i was looking at it.

I love my powerstroke!!!! The old IDI was fun for a while but when the power hungry side of me came out the IDI would not make the fill.

That's a darn good price for a superduty! Low mileage to boot!!

While i think that super duty is a good buy, and wouldn't recommend against it, I'd just like to input that if you slapped a turbo on your rig, you could pull as much as the PSD could, just a little slower perhaps. Towcat doesn't seem to have too much trouble keeping up, but then he has an IC as well as a turbo.

thanks for the advise guys, this idea only depends on how good she starts from dead cold, and how she runs. if its not good, then i wont do it. looks like i need to get a check list of things to look for in the psd side of the forum.

as for knowing if shes early or late 99, i have no idea how to know.

I just got a 97 F450 Super-duty for $600, drove it home yesterday. This will be my PSD fix - much easier to make HP with a Powerstroke - just the plain truth....I won't sell my 91 as I love the reliablility of my IDI but being a diesel tech for a living I had an itch to sctratch and the 450 will take care of that. I'd jump on it for that price if it's as clean as you say it is.

A quick check for early late 99, where's the "Powerstroke emblem? Door of front fender. Early ones are on the fenders, late ones are on the doors.
