Look in there and see if the locking tab that goes between the two nuts has ears bent over.
If they are bend them free of the nut if not get a longer ratchet. IIrc the outer torque is 200 ft lbs

Shoukd be a flat lock tab that has to come off then the inner nut. FYI both nuts are the same.

What do you mean?

Your knuckle is stuck on the ball joints or...the ball joints are stuck in the swing arm?

If knuckle is still stuck on... 2 x BIG BFH's and hold one on one side and whack the opposite side like a **** should POP right off...just like doing TRE's

Since it's sheet metal you really cant hit it from the sides without distorting the sides I've already smashed the front up pretty bad, I don't think the camber adjustment will ever come out it is so badly distorted.

I'll keep whacking at it hopefully it will loosen like the tie rod did. It's really getting beaten up though. I'm afraid I might have to replace it if I beat it up anymore.

Please tell me you're not hitting the axle arm assembly.
Should just need direct downward force on the ballpoint shaft to get it thru the bushing. Usually a pickle fork for the upper and lower joints and a few good downward whacks pops em out.

Easiest way to handle ball joints is to use a bearing puller on the caster/camber bushing. It will pull out stupidly easy compared to the amount of force required to beat it out with hammers and pickle forks.

I'll have to try that next time. I got her out finally, I hit it so hard that the camber bushing started to drive out downward  but then she popped loose. The camber bushing is a 3 piece assembly, the bushing, a sheet metal washer with 2 notches and degrees inscribed on it and a c-clip. My washer was severely distorted, so I took it apart and squeezed it back flat in my vise cleaned it and reassembled it. I'm going to get an alignment as soon as I'm done anyway so no biggy. Got the old ball joints out and the new joints in. Going to drink a couple of cold ones and reassemble in the morning.

here I'm using my ball joint press to press the old bj out, I had to make special cups to get them re-installed. My wife is using my bench for all her junk, will throw it all away when she's not looking and she'll never miss it. lol

here the new ones are installed. you can see a modified cup I need to re-install, this kit was made for a dana 44 so didn't need to make too many changes. It's all held in place with my american made Jost mechanics vise, it was money well spent I use it almost daily.

should have taken pics of the camber bushing, It was severely distorted but I took it apart and pressed everything back to shape and decided to reuse since I'm going to get an alignment as soon as she's back together. I always say I'm going to take step by step pics of the whole operation but I always forget.
