Yeah It was a little hot when I was putting the pedals in so I plugged that baby in my power inverter, Didn't help much...

The c6 did a great job don't get me wrong, It pulled a 30 ft gooseneck many a time loaded with various vehicles and every shift at wot... I worked it hard and it never complained but as everyone knows they really aren't efficient.. The zf being a 47 has the lower first which so far seems to work perfectly with my 3:55's.. It pulls alot harder now with less throttle required, I'm running 1500 rpm's in 5th a 55mph where I was running about 2300 ish with the c6... Once I get over the fun factor of it, I'll see what kind of mileage I can get...

The steering column out of that 91 parts truck will bolt right in if you want to get rid of that superfluous column shifter...

Another C6 bites the dust.
I did the same on my '86 crew cab. Used a 460 ZF5 though.
