Diesels and trailers sell at a premium up here. This one is seemingly in excellent condition and free of rust which is rare here.

Old mid 80's IDIs with rust sell for 2.5k in this area on a regular basis.

Actaully, if it's been taken care of mechanically, that's a pretty good price. I searched nation wide this summer to find mine. I paid $4K for mine and its not a turbo. On top of that I knew up front that I'd have to have some work done to it because the last owners hadn't driven it much over the past 4 years, and they just were not diesel people. I think that my whole fuel system is still original... To me that looks like a really good buy.

Glad to be of service! ;)

Hey are you in the area? Or driving in from elsewhere?

edit: see you're from NM. Just drove through there on the way to Az. Man you folks seem to be doing heavy roadwork on every road in the state! :)

I'm actally flying in Saturday from Albuquerque. Got a one way ticket from Frontier Airlines for $50.00, heck of alot cheaper then driving up and then driving 2 vehicles back. The owner is picking me up from the airport which makes it even easier..... :D

Your right about the road work in New Mexico. About the time they finish the road project, they have to start over because where they began is now deteriorating again. -cuss At least I know my tax dollars are doing something even if it's work on the same road for 20 years.... ;p

awesome! when I pulled through Alba and Santa Fe I checked around a bit - doesn't seem like many are doing biodiesel or SVO down in that neck of the woods. You should scoop up the free gold...

Problem is that their are not that many diesels (atleast older ones) in this state. The last truck I bought, I had to go to Arizona to get and now to Denver to get this one. You can't find a older diesel around here that doesn't belong in the scrap yard.

Yep not too many trust fund hippies driving IDI's :)

But you might be able to score a mid 80's Benz diesel!

Your right........ there are some Benz diesel's around, although there are not a lot of people in the market for those in this state. Most diesel trucks around here are newer... late 90's to 09's and with the price folks are asking for them, you would think they were gold plated !!! cookoo
