has anybody used one of the dash pad covers form lmc, if so how did it come out?

I painted/dyed it with Duplicolor's VS4 Red vinyl and fabric dye. It fit pretty well, but there were just a few places I could see the old dash if I looked hard enough. So I dyed those places with the same color and then put it in place permanently.

that looks really cool. as far as that dye goes. iv been looking to paint some dash pieces myself. i see some people use regular paint and it takes that rough finish away and makes it look smooth. i dont want that at all.. did this paint keep the texture so it looks factory?

Yup and it is as tough as nails. I painted the horn pad on the steering wheel black with the Duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye. It was blue when I got it out of the junkyard. It has never cracked, peeled, bubbled, and it looks just like factory. Same with the dash pad. It's good stuff.
