I'll be looking for an LSD carrier and 3.54 gears soon (I hope LOL) in pick-n-pull and wondered if they were offered in SRW trucks, either that or find a 10.25 drw rear, I want to build a second axle so that I can keep my 4.10 incase I find myself needing those deep gears later...

SRW rear ends are narrower than a true dually rear.i got my dana 70HD out of a 97 E350 mini bus.but i had to cut the spring perches off andmove them in about 2 inches for it to fit

FWIW, I believe that nearly all F-250HD's and F-350's (SRW or DRW) up through mid '85 had a Dana 70...and, halfway through '85, they replaced it with the 10.25". I don't know about SRW vs DRW, though; I'd go with what Rich said...

But to the best of my knowledge they were never offered with gears higher than 4.10, so I want to scavenge pick-n-pull for a 3.54 LSD axle and pull the carrier, ring, and pinion to stuff them into a DRW axle, hopefully in the same yard, then buy it as one unit, I believe the carriers arn't the same between 3.54 and 4.10, 3.73's (aftermarket) are offered to fit either carrier.

I may wind up skiping the disc brake thing unless I can find a way of doing it for well under the $1000-1500 it seems it will add to the price tag -cuss
