Yep. If you can swing it, a dedicated tow rig is always nice to have if you need to tow much.
Towing an RV i have thought about 3.73s. I bought a 32 foot flagstaff on the north Carolina coast and brought it home about 750 miles. The truck pulled great between 22 and 2400 RPMs which was too fast for a trailer that long in 5th and too slow for 4th. I ended up running 60-65 in fourth most of the time. Beyond that was too high rpm in 4th and in 5th gear I needed to be 72-75. I think 3.73s would be great for that.I built a 10.25 for my 83. I went with 3.73 and a Detroit Truetrac. I’m very happy with the diff, gears are good for dd, but every time I hook to a trailer I wish I would’ve went 4.10. That’s on stock tires. 33s hands down 4.10
