Question...I bought a liquid filled 15 psi pressure gauge and installed it yesterday. I had to bleed the system after installing it (of course), and got the truck running (and noticed I had 2 psi of pressure at idle, but I guess that's a different story). Anyway, I drove the truck over to my girlfriend's place and spent the night there.
I went out this morning to go to work, started the truck, it fired up, stumbled and shut off. I hit the schrader valve on the filter head and a bunch of air came out along with a little fuel. I cranked and bled the damn thing for 10 minutes and it still wouldn't start (or I would get it to start briefly and it would shut off again). I finally had to crack one of the injector lines and FINALLY got the damn thing to start.
I don't know if it'll do that crap again when I go to leave tonight, I sure hope not, but I don't understand why it even did that...I saw no evidence of leaks anywhere around where I had moved things around to install the gauge plus I put new sealant on anything that I disturbed during that install. ***?
