Hello!
Just finished up testing the compression on my engine. The numbers are below:
Port Bank:
#1 - 350 psi
#2 - 320 psi
#3 - 320 psi
#4 - 320 psi
Starboard Bank:
#1 - 327 psi
#2 - 380 psi
#3 - 350 psi
#4 - 360 psi
These numbers were from a cold engine with a starter that's on its way out. Looking at my Ford shop manual, with the highest cylinder being at 380 psi, the lowest should be no lower than 285 psi, and going by the same chart, I'm safe with compression any higher than 195 psi.
Does anyone have any further input here? I'm a little concerned that the port bank seems to be consistently lower than the starboard bank.
Should I re-test with a replacement starter, or should I just put new GP's in and call everything good?
Any thoughts would be appreciated...thanks in advance!
