Pick yourself up a new rear end and just swap it in. You should be able to find an entire axle and everything for less than $600.

Where?? I called the local truck salvage place today and was told $1,500 was the going rate...

I ended up getting the rear end rebuilt, minus the ring and pinion (Which were still well within specs) Finally hit 1,000 miles and changed out the diff fluid yesterday. I used 75w-140 full synthetic and hope to get many many more miles out of it!
