12 miles per quart, 87 6.9 c6 truck. Odometer shows 38k, probably has an imaginary 2 in front of it, more than likely a three.

Got a CDR ordered....

Are we throwing a bottom end in this truck? or is there a YDMF bit we are overlooking.?

Hope he didn't pay much, if the engine eats that much oil I doubt it's going through the cdr. I would think it would be a run away if it were drinking that much through the intake. Just my .02

Take the oil fill cap off and see how much smoke comes out. At idle there is always a little, rev it up 15-1800 then see how much, smoke should NOT increase very much. Blue smoke out the tailpipe, then it's burning it. Otherwise you have a pretty good leak someplace, check the oil cooler. Make a compression check. 350 PSI on up is good. Auto-RX does wonders for an engine.
