kind of a bad word on this site,,,but am wonderin on how to chek yur coolant to see if it has what it needs to protect against this deadly word,,,,can i just put in some really good coolant or what??? i can fix jus bout anything but am new to havn an oilburner,,,,,its been good to me so far though,,,,so any advice will be greatly appreciated

thanks,,,,so another question,,,if i have another brand in my truck which is pushn 186000 do i have to change coolant to put in sca's as they arent compatible with the others?????

You have to use SCA's that are compatible with your coolant. If your in doubt, flush out what you have and refill with new. You should do that every couple of years anyway. Consider adding a coolant filter while your at it.
