I'm Running about 11.5 BTDC and I run the truck fairly hard. And my truck weighs about 7200 empty. I get about 14-15.
can't get mpg up...

yeah iv tried the far advanced engine timing as well.all it resulted in was greatly increased clatter/rattle.nothing for performance nor economy to be found there,from my experience.
turbo spools up quicker around 7 BTDC as well.feels much more crisp on take off.it costs nothing to try if you've got the meter.i sure wish i did way back along.

Well I had mine at about 20 degrees and got about 8mpg along with the loss of the glowplugs. It sounded pretty cool though.
