Picked up some 1/2" rod and ran into each side bottom transmission bolt hole to use as guides.

Wish I'd thought of that before. It made setting it a simple process instead of the previous all day battle.
Fired it up, let the ATF circulate, and gave it some throttle.

First time it's moved on it's own for a couple years. She's not pretty, but the box is raintight and in excellent condition, it's powered by a 7.3 NA that runs strong and has the full service performed in stickers on the drivers seat. With only 175,000 miles it's barely broke in.
I have around 5 loads to get to the auction, then another 2 or 3 to the dump, after that probably going to sell for someone else project.

I will happily deal with the bald spot where the tranny died.

Looks to me like a murder-scene cop chalk outline...

You can clearly see the outline of the victim...

I'd be careful...you might be tampering with important evidence for the TV investigation...

On another observation...that front bumper looks a lot like mine did before I put the redneck-straightening moves on it...

Warning...that bumper is made outta some tough stuff....it will resist arrest...

She's not pretty

All it needs is a good 'flame' paint job...and some lightning bolts for good measure...

ROFL.. your the second person to suggest flames.
I can see it now, box truck with flames pegged out at 60 mph as angry old guy in RV blocks the fast lane to pass at 61.5 mph.. with 20 something basement dwellers spreading the love for having to slow down..

Yeah, was waiting for level ground before sticking the 3 ton jack and 2x4 under to see what happens.
