I fixed mine years ago, and didn’t document anything. But from what I do remember, I had to pull the glove box out and take off the dash pad. They always break off right where they hinge, leaving the door itself intact. I went to Home Depot and got the smallest hinges they had - like you’d see on a jewelry box lid.
It’s enough of a pain to get to, I didn’t want to do it a second time. The door just has a thin crease in it that allows it to flex back and forth; a craptacular design.
