Broken A/C Heater Vent door86 f250

Ok looking for a fix for the heater to A/C vents. The door in the heater box is broke off of the control rod, is there a replacement for it or a good fix. Rodney

This was back in Sept. 2009:

Part # & description is: EOTZ-18A361-A SEAL & DOOR ASSY - HT

On my part box it is described as 'Control'

Thanks riphip, I'LL try those sites and that part # .I know it will be a job to fix, the heater box will have to come out and opened up. But that's the only way to fix the floor to defrost control. Thanks Rodney

I had to take my dash down but I couldn't get to what I needed from the bottom. Hopefully you can do from underneath.

I fixed mine years ago, and didn’t document anything. But from what I do remember, I had to pull the glove box out and take off the dash pad. They always break off right where they hinge, leaving the door itself intact. I went to Home Depot and got the smallest hinges they had - like you’d see on a jewelry box lid.
It’s enough of a pain to get to, I didn’t want to do it a second time. The door just has a thin crease in it that allows it to flex back and forth; a craptacular design.
