Broken 4x4 Hub Lock...

I spent yesterday and today reassembling my front hub assemblies after getting the new rotors during the week. Brakes are done and the truck stops and moves normally.

There's only one problem. Looks like I somehow mucked up the hub lock mechanism on the starboard side. The metal components of the mechanism inside the hub are fine; the only problem's with a collar on the plastic piece that pushes the metal parts together when you turn the knob. I imagine it's impossible to get individual parts for this thing.

Is it possible to just replace the plastic/chrome end piece, or do I need to replace the whole bloody thing? Any recommendations on where to go/what to get? I'm not a hardcore off-roader, but don't want a piece of junk that's going to break the first time I lock it, either. Fortunately, I was able to jury-rig it so that I could at least install the cap so I can drive the truck without getting dirt in the bearings...it just doesn't function as a locker now. FWIW this is an OEM manual lock for an '84 with a Dana 50 front axle...one of the ones that had a FORD sticker on the knob before the sticker sprouted wings and flew away many moons ago

Not a problem one of the hubs off the parts truck already sacrificed it's life to keep another alive so it may as well finish itself off in fine fashion buy doing it again.

Most of these hubs are OEM'd by Warn. I suspect you could get individual parts if you contacted them.
