I solved that on mine (been going strong for over a year now) by taking the protective battery caps off my new batteries, cutting them down to fit on them, and using a aggressive green duct tape on it. No rattle, door closes fairly good compared to before. Even did it on the back doors iirc. Little strange, but better then the other!

All my body lines are off. I mean all! The bed is a lil off to but there is very lil rust. I'm starting to think the bed is different. I see brown primer on bed and silver on cab and white on doors lol

Can you post pictures of your truck bed and cab? The lines on an '80-'86 bed are different from an '87+ bed, so that is a possibility.

FWIW the bed doesn't have rubber mounts like the cab does (assuming there isn't a body lift installed on your truck), so if the bed's not sitting properly on the frame, there's a structural issue...it's far more common for cab mounts to sag, which is spotted pretty easily because the cab will sit a bit lower than the bed...

The bed sags on the pass side but stick out on the drivers side.

The bed sits hi on the pass side. The cab mounts look ok.

Did a quick vin look up. Turns out it was light opal. Makes sense since where the paint is peeling on the cab it's kinda silver.

Based on that, I think that either the cab mounts on the passenger's side are shot, or something's seriously up with the bed mounting points. Any chance of getting pictures of the rubber cab mounts on both sides? Also, an overall shot of the truck would be good...I'd like an opportunity to compare the sheet metal over the front and rear wheels...

Looks like somebody stuffed that in there for some lift.
Could be a source of your problem.

That what I was thinking. I'm finding more everyday. I am the third owner but looks like the ol girl has been thru a lil more than
I thought. Stock color was light opal. It's now black with three diff colors showing under the black. Hey atleast it's runs like a top and the body is in pretty good shape so it's all good.

FWIW that's the correct bed for your truck...it may not be the bed your truck left the factory with, but that is an '87-'97 bed.

I can't remember the last time I've taken a close look at a set of good mounts, but your mounts look compressed...compare them to the pics I posted of mine; they look about the same. I think it's a good bet you'll see things aligned much better if you replace the rubber...
