Blue smoke

Im not to worried about it but my dad is. Im looking at a 1997 F-250 diesel long box, r/c, XL 5 speed. It has 260,383 km on it. But when i started it, she blew blue for awhile till it warmed up, It smelt like diesel it was not oily did not sting the eyes or smell like it. It looks like the fuel filter has not been changed for awhile could that be the culprit. Thanks. Oh got the deposit on her

i dont think its anything to worry about when i start mine up i get about 3-5 seconds of blueish white smoke and then a little bluish white haze while shes warming up
