Blow by test questions

Ok I was gonna check blowby on a friends idi diesel a 93 factory turbo. I removed the oil cap while it was running and you can hear a very noticible whine coming from inside there. any ideas on what this could be Ive never heard it .

mine has done the same thing since i bought it about three years ago and it runs fine

IP gear whine.

The IP is gear driven, and the fill tube is right over the top of the gear.
